This is a very good eyepice for looking double stars, it has a huge lens, the best multicoatings ever see in a telescope eyepiece, it also has enough power and shapness for a quick look for planets, but when you compare with an ortho it looses a lost of detail. Very good contrast and sharp, no like a Televue or a Takahashi. It has a not blackened field stop that put a lot of glare when you are looking very bright objects , but this is not an eyepiece for look the Moón or very bright objects.

Pros

Very nice eyepiece
The best multicoating ( Phantom coatings group ).
Very good contrast.
Space walk feeling when looking through

Cons

Heavy
Not as sharp as an ortho.

I had never heard of this eyepiece but had read some very interesting reviews about it. I own a 12" DOB, I mainly use it for DSOs, backdrop is very dark and provides excellent contrast.

This is a follow up on the previous post. I actually own the 17mm version.
