Telescope used 8" f/6 Antares reflector

I've owned 3 or 4 of these. The first three were't too bad, even in my 12" f/5 reflector. The last one seemed weird, although I only had it out for one night only......maybe it's because I just had a 27mm Panoptic?....I guess it is hard to compare a $300.00 EP with a $100.00 EP?...I dunno. I love the huge FOV in these eyepieces. It gave me 2° in my 8" f/6 scope which was great for a finder EP. It isn't too heavy either, and that's another reason why I liked this EP. If you can handle the astigmatism and coma you get with a short focal length scope, then go for it. I found that it broke up at about the 60% mark in my f/6 telescope. If you have a LONG FOCUS telescope, then this eyepiece will give you a very wide FOV, with a sharp view as well for most of the field. I have since traded this with a 1.25" University optics 32mm König, and will write a review on that and the 2" University Optics König when it arrives!!! CS.

Pros

-Wide FOV
-Not too heavy

Cons

-Edge of field aberrations
-Not as sharp as more expensive designs
