The 7mm Pentax Xw is one of the best eyepieces I have ever used. The views of planets and deep sky are simply amazing. I let Saturn drift right to the extreme edge of the FOV and there is ZERO distortion or chromatic aberration in this superb eyepiece. The color of stars and planets are very true to original, and detail on Saturn or Jupiter is much easier to see than in other eyepieces I have tested. I recommend this eyepiece or other Pentax XW's in the 3.5mm, 5mm, 10mm and of course 7mm range. I tried out the 14mm XW on a 12" f/5 telescope, but the field curvature was very distracting.
Pros Highly corrected eyepieces, not too heavy in focuser, impervious to moisture, no pincusion or any other distortion right to the edge of the FOV, very comfortable to use for long poeriods of time.
Cons expensive, some focal lengths show field curvature.
